Dhaka is a massive city, full of life and interesting sights and smells with some of the friendliest people I’ve met in all my travels. With a population of 18.2 million it is one of the largest and most densely populated cites on Earth. In my very short visit I was able get an interesting view of what daily life is like in Dhaka. I got to experience the Karwan Bazaar, a wholesale night market before it closed at 8:30 am. I walked all over Old Dhaka, this was after a severe rain storm during monsoon season so some of the streets were flooded. I saw wholesale markets of fish, meat, vegetables, fruit and anything else you can imagine. I also went for a boat ride across the Buriganga river. I adored this city and definitely plan to return. This article is a photo essay of my travels to Dhaka, Bangladesh, my 103rd/197th country visited.
